Oh, I wanna go here!

Yeah, I know, I just blogged, but then I found this, and wanted to share. Or maybe I just wanted to make a note of it where I could find it, so I would remember it. Who knows.

But isn't this cute? It's the World Famous Crochet Museum. It's in California, in a town called Joshua Tree. I'm thinking I seriously want to see this. It's about a two-hour drive from where my sister lives, hmmmmmmmmmmm..............

Unfortunately, the museum tipped over in a recent storm. Hope they get it fixed and upright soon. I don't want to miss out!

Adventures in 'hat'ting... LOL

Well, here's my version of the cover hat from Crochet Today, along with what it's supposed to look like. Kinda different, huh? I think the basic thing is, mine is not as big. I made it with an H hook, per directions, but I'm thinking maybe an I or J hook, and maybe a few more stitches in the rows............... I don't know, I have to think more about it. There just needs to be more in the crown part, make it bigger. Hmmmmmm.... Lemme think a while............

Any hints, y'all?

I finished the red, white and blue Giant Granny Square. I love it. When I started this a million years ago, my table on my patio was more square than round, so I made a square. Then I got a little round table for the patio. Ah well. The Granny will get much use in the years to come, I'm sure. It looks cute there now, anyway.

I'm gonna make another big granny. Just have to decide what yarn, but I do think I'm gonna make it out of Red Heart. Red Heart is not so snuggly, but I like it for outside afghans that you use to sit on a lawn. And that's what I need, is a nice big blankie for sitting outside on. Just have to pick the colors. Now I'm working on my Christmas blanket for this year, a Round Ripple in Cranberry, Pine, and Linen. I think it's gonna be way pretty.

Y'all have a great day!

21 Days to Yarn Bomb

Oh, yarn bombing sounds so fun to me! And now there's an event! I am looking forward to joining these folks and their fun. I'm thinking I'm gonna make up some washcloths and wrap them around things. That way, if people want to take them, they have something fun to use. But heck, with 21 days, that's lots of opportunities. Flowers on fences, grannies all over......... what fun! Can't wait 'til November, but I'm figuring I'll get started now making things to put out all over.

Y'all should join in, yarn bomb something!

No kidding............

Oh my gosh! I was reading another blog today, and saw this purse. Here's the blog about it.

Is that something else or what! $1375! I would totally save that girl some money and make it for a mere grand. LMHO But seriously, is it worth it? Well, I suppose it is to Kylie. LOL

So I got to hunting. Stella McCartney has a couple of crocheted totes on this page for like a thousand bucks apiece. Wow!

And y'all, look at this slide show! Man! Makes me wanna get my hooks out and get ready for a show somewhere!

This all just makes me wanna look some more, how about you! Crochet, anyone?

Have a wonderful day!

Such talent!

I 'met' one of my favorite on-line friends on a message board for the Wiggles, a children's group, a few years back. Little did I know then, she's a fabulous crochet artist, and further, she designs many of her creations. I admire her so. Her name is Alison, and here are some of her creations. She has a website here, if you care to check out more of her work.

These are so cute. I must say, I want to make a bunch of these for myself, for my Christmas tree, and maybe to tuck into the odd present here and there, or use to enhance a wrapped gift. Cool, yes. I love these.

Her Nativities are so awesome. I personally think they are better than the one that was in Crochet World last year. I have ordered one from her, and I can't wait to get it.

She was generous enough to share this pattern with me. I have yet to make the little monkies, but I do plan to. My cousin wanted a set. I don't do much amigurumi, or really much little work at all. Though it would seem to be great for instant gratification, I do prefer bigger projects for the most part.

Now how gorgeous are these! I love them so much!

These are cute, too. Ali asked me to mention that they were made from a pattern by Lucy Ravenscar. Too cute!

How beautiful are Prince William and Kate! I saw all the 'knit your own royal wedding stuff', but never saw any crocheted stuff except Ali's. I love these!

More wedding couples, which are adorable.

Gotta have the dog in the wedding, right? Bow Wow!

See why I admire her so? These are all so cute, aren't they?

Never ending to-do list..... sigh....

I have so many pictures saved on my computer of crochet work I want to try. Man, the amount of patterns and books I buy are seriously ridiculous, too.

Anyway, one day I was thinking about pillows, and pillows I want to make. It occurred to me that what might be fun for my boys might be hamburger and hot dog pillows, so I went searching. Because what do you do when you get an idea? You Google it, right? I found these. Why, oh why, didn't I make a note of where I got them? Sometimes, it's hard for me to figure out who owns the pictures, and sometimes I forget to make the note. If any of these pictures are yours, let me know, please. Anyway, I found these hamburger pictures. All of them, so cute. Never found a hot dog one. I'm wondering if I'm clever enough to wing it........... but I do think Jon and David would like them........

How fun is this one! Makes me think, do I want it this size, or bigger? This is so cool, though, isn't it?

Seriously, adorable aren't they! Love them! Wish I could design like this..........

Happy hooking, y'all!

What do you see?

So the other day I was out shopping with my niece, and we were in this dress shop, and I saw this picture. I thought this picture was so cool, some dude playing the piano. Then I realized it so did not go with the pictures on either side of it. They were travel pictures. So I asked my niece, 'What do you see in that picture?' She named some foreign location. So did the clerks at the store. Nobody saw the piano, or the guy playing it. There followed quite a conversation, with everyone trying to see the dude playing the piano. They could see the keys, but that was it. Other customers got involved, and it became very interesting. One guy walked up and said 'Yeah, I see it, too.' It went on for quite a while. Some eventually saw what I saw, some never did. I never could not see the guy at the piano. I couldn't see the travel picture. What do you see? Do you see the guy playing the piano?

I don't know if it will even help, but I've kinda outlined him below......
